Job Title: Hydraulic Modeller

At Thames Water, we are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Modeller to join our team. As a key member of our Network Modelling function, you will play a crucial role in advancing our near-real-time modelling capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain hydraulic models, including calibration and verification, to support network planning and projects.
  • Develop and utilise WS Pro models to optimise existing network assets and design new capital schemes.
  • Provide specialist advice and solutions to network challenges, working closely with operations, strategic control, and asset management teams.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our Network Modelling function, driving innovation and excellence in hydraulic modelling.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Clean Water WS Pro modelling, with a passion for hydraulic modelling and a desire to advance near-real-time modelling.
  • Interest in becoming chartered in a related field, with a demonstrable understanding of water networks or network models.
  • Previous exposure to network modelling software, with a strong understanding of water systems and hydraulic principles.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary from £45,000 to £50,000 per annum.
  • 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with length of service, plus bank holidays.
