Job Title: Claims Team Leader

Location: Hitchin site (SG4 0SL)

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 42 hours per week, 5 days per week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Team Leader to join our team at Cadent. As a Claims Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising a small team of employees, including warehouse operatives, admin assistants, and drivers. Your focus will be on operational control of warehousing, yard, and transport functions for a nominated site.

You will plan and organize your own workload, balancing conflicting priorities with minimal supervision. The role holder will maintain an effective and compliant operation across all responsible activities and ensure adherence to all legal, operational, and SHE procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a small team of employees to meet operational needs
  • Inventory Management of stock levels
  • Filing and record keeping for Risk Assessments / Safe System of Work Documents
  • Managing materials via SAP system and warehouse management systems
  • O' license administration & control of compliance of Transport
  • Accurate training records for Secondary Stores operations, including inductions for new starters and agency employees
  • Working to site & contract specific SHESQ policies and procedures
  • Point of contact for customer queries and requests
  • Willing to travel to other warehouses/stores when required
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Required to hold a full driving licence
  • Good communicative skills both verbally and in written form
  • Be able to work on own initiative, proactive approach and can do attitude with excellent attention to detail.
  • A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
  • Data input and analysis skills
  • Fleet compliance record keeping
  • Knowledge of inventory stock management
  • Logical thinking with the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively
  • A good level of numeracy and verbal reasoning.
