Claims Executive Job Description

Our client, a leading Lloyds Broker, is seeking a skilled Claims Executive to join their expanding Commercial Claims team in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing the claims needs of customers and ensuring that all issues related to the claims process are handled proactively.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Handle a caseload of Commercial Retail claims
  • Register new claims accurately on the company computer systems and update records during the life of the claim
  • Ensure all claims and correspondence, on delegated authority cases, are correctly maintained and provide a clear and concise history of events, actions, and quantum assessment
  • Obtain and submit completed Client claim documentation to Insurers or nominated service providers promptly
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and effectively deal with all enquiries in a professional and efficient manner
  • Provide advice and assistance to Clients to actively manage the claim process and minimize lapse time
  • Dispatch claim settlement cheques on date of receipt
Essential Skills:
  • Previous experience within Commercial Claims
  • Excellent Insurance knowledge
  • Able to use own initiative
  • Ability to work as a team player
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience/knowledge of handling retail claims
  • Use of Acturis IT system
  • Good organization skills
  • Strong IT skills including all MS Office

This is a permanent role based in Hertfordshire, offering a salary between 30,000 - 35,000. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a growing organization with lots of training and development opportunities.
