Job Overview

As a Health Visitor, you will be responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme, which aims to promote the health and wellbeing of children from birth to five years old. You will work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to provide support and guidance on a range of health and wellbeing issues.

Main Duties
  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme to children and families in our community
  • Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to provide support and guidance on health and wellbeing issues
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify the needs of children and families
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote the health and wellbeing of children and families
  • Provide education and support to families on a range of health and wellbeing topics, including child development, nutrition, and parenting
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive service to children and families
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Health Visiting professional qualification with entry onto the third part of the NMC register
  • Experience of working in a team environment and ability to work flexibly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically
  • Knowledge of current legislation and policies related to health visiting and child protection
