Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager Position

About the Role
As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager at ENGINEERINGUK, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing technologies in our Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network. This position requires a motivated and customer-focused individual who can lead a team of engineering technicians in ensuring a high level of equipment availability and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, support, and mentor a team of engineering technicians to work in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.
- Technical Expertise: Work with the team and the wider network to harness technical expertise and build solutions.
- Safety and Compliance: Support the Reliability Engineering Manager in implementing, recording, and auditing safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to internal customers.
- Training and Development: Ensure sufficient technical coverage by organizing and directing the training program for the team.
- Project Management: Organize local projects or support EU-level projects as assigned by the manager.
- Shift Work: Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.
- Goal Achievement: Demonstrate achievement of goals and objectives set within the RME team.
Requirements
- Qualifications: A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), IEng, CEng, or ILM L4+.
- Experience: Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment handling complex business processes.
- Leadership: Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team.
- Stakeholder Management: Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
- Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper intermediate proficiency in local language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: A degree.
- Regulatory Experience: Experience of working with statutory regulations, such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols.
- Automated Equipment: Experience in automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Data Analysis: Experience of using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.
- Project Management: Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes.
- CMMS: Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
