We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bioinformatics Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at The Bridge IT Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to significantly impact the delivery of bioinformatics data engineering and visualizations to the Oncology R&D organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Bioinformatics with 5 years of relevant experience. You will be familiar with bioinformatics visualizations in different omics domains including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, DNA methylation, etc.

Key responsibilities include developing, executing, and maintaining ETL pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data for use in cBio and other bioinformatics analysis and visualizations. Additionally, you will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of ETL pipelines and data systems.

You will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data loading and integration into downstream systems. Collaborating with bioinformaticians, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand and meet the data needs and requirements of the organization is also crucial.

A strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline development is essential. Experience working across multiple scientific compute environments to create data workflows and pipelines is also required.

This role offers a salary range of approximately £36,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
