Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom Environment Agency Full time

Senior Regulatory Environment Officer Job Description

About Us
The Environment Agency is driving transformation in how we regulate water companies to minimize their environmental impact.

We regulate sewage treatment works, storm overflows, and ensure compliance with water flow standards. As a Senior Regulatory Environment Officer, you'll play a key role in creating a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment.

You'll plan and deliver complex regulatory tasks, such as inspections, audits, and incident investigations. You'll provide evidence and technical expertise to support managers, contribute to training programs, and identify best practices to enhance regulation and performance.

When water companies fail to comply with legislation, you'll take enforcement action and may be required to give evidence in court. We're seeking individuals with a strong understanding of how water company activities impact the environment, backed by three years of experience in the water industry, particularly within regulation and compliance.

Our team is passionate about tackling complex environmental challenges. We strive to reflect the diverse communities we serve. As an organisation, we're committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive pension scheme, flexible working options, generous leave entitlements, and various professional development opportunities.
