Job Title: Interim Nursery Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Nursery Manager to join our team at Tops Day Nurseries. As an Interim Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, educational, and fun environment for the children in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise children and ensure their safety
- Organise activities such as games, crafts, and educational tasks
- Communicate effectively with children, staff members, and parents
- Use creative skills and imagination to provide educational activities
- Maintain a positive outlook and build a secure and rewarding environment
- Conduct interviews for potential applicants
- Develop and maintain the nursery budget
- Arrange marketing materials
- Monitor the condition of the facility and equipment
- Update parents and carers about their child's progress and behaviour
- Answer enquiries about enrolment, payments, and practices
- Develop and implement an age-appropriate program of annual events and activities
- Prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections and follow inspector recommendations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in early years education
- Childcare qualification
- Experience of leading the improvement of Early Years Foundation Stage provision and outcomes
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of good practice in the early years
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of statutory curriculum assessment
- Knowledge and understanding of local and national educational initiatives in the early years
