Job Overview

Baker McKenzie, a leading law firm, is seeking an AML/KYC Compliance Lead to join their Belfast team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the AML/KYC department and ensuring that all team members adhere to Firm policies and procedures.


About the Role

The AML/KYC Compliance Lead will support the NBI AML/KYC Compliance Manager in effectively supervising a team of analysts within the AML/KYC department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively assessing and managing workload to assign requests to the team daily
  • Maintaining high-quality service delivery through quality assurance reviews and training
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, including Partners and Fee Earners
  • Supporting the development of policies, procedures, and standards as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A recognized AML/Compliance qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience working in a professional services environment with a focus on AML/KYC
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and decision-making capabilities
  • Able to manage processes efficiently and contribute ideas for process improvements
