Job Title: Principal Engineer - Product Safety Engineering

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Product Safety Engineering to join our team. As a key member of our Product Safety Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products and systems.

About the Role:

You will work closely with our delivery process and governance process teams to ensure that our products meet the highest safety standards. Your expertise in industrial controls systems, functional safety, and software and hardware engineering will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety analysis and assessment activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on safety-related matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Contribute to the development of safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in industrial controls systems and functional safety.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
