Job Title: Sub Agent / Site Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Job Description:

The company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sub Agent / Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for assisting the visiting Director and on-site Works Manager in delivering infrastructure works for a major new housing estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of infrastructure works, including earthworks, Section 278 works, road construction, and new drainage.
  • Lead toolbox talks, daily briefings, and site inductions to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Work closely with the Site Agent and commercial team to raise early warning notices and promote the highest levels of health and safety on site.
  • Liaise with stakeholders on public-facing projects and ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties by working closely with the site engineer and reading drawings.
  • Ensure that risk assessments and method statements are adhered to and that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the civil engineering and groundwork sector.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to read drawings and coordinate gangs.
