About the Role

2000 SPTS Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to provide effective support during a period of significant business expansion at our premises.

The successful candidate will report directly to the European EHS Manager and be responsible for supporting all aspects of EHS policy and practice. Key duties will include developing and reviewing policies and procedures, conducting audits and risk assessments, and providing competent EHS advice and training to our staff and others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality written procedures for health, safety, and environmental processes and activities.
  • Undertake accident and incident investigations and provide professional reports on findings.
  • Carry out task, equipment, and process risk assessments and assist in the development of departmental risk assessment programmes.
  • Develop and deliver health, safety, and environmental training to employees, contractors, and visitors at all levels.
  • Conduct internal audits of EHS procedures in accordance with the site audit plan.
  • Support the development and implementation of site-level requirements for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programmes and participate in third-party external verification audits.
  • Undertake routine EHS inspections and assist in the management of the EHS inspection programme.
  • Provide day-to-day EHS support and guidance to our departmental managers and staff to ensure the effective operation of our health, safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Analyse EHS performance metrics and respond in a proactive manner to promote continual improvement and minimize the risk of EHS non-conformances.

Requirements:

  • Shown EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (desirable).
  • Candidates should hold a recognised health, safety, and environmental management qualification such as a NEBOSH General certificate, IEMA Certificate, NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety, or NCRQ certificate.
  • Knowledge and experience of health, safety, and environmental management standards (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 desirable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of working in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
