Job Title: Support Worker

Job Role Overview:

This role is an opportunity to work as a Support Worker for a disabled woman in Tamworth, providing personal care and support in daily life. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team to cover sickness and holidays, and will be required to work flexibly during the day, evening, and weekends.

Main Duties:

  • To provide personal care, including support with daily living tasks and medication administration.
  • To contribute to the wellbeing and safety of the individual, including maintaining a safe environment and adhering to infection control procedures.
  • To provide support with domestic duties, including household chores and meal preparation.
  • To facilitate social interaction and community participation, including supporting the individual to access activities outside the home.

Requirements:

  • Current full driving licence ( applicant must be over 18 for insurance purposes).
  • Have a qualification in care work or be willing to undertake commensurate training.
  • Be able to demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to providing compassionate care to individuals with disabilities.
  • Be fully vaccinated against coronavirus and flu.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks will be required for this role.

Working Arrangements:

  • 22.5 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
  • Pro rata legal minimum holiday entitlement.
  • The role is dependent on interview, satisfactory references, and enhanced DBS checks.
