We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at St James Tavern. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and developing our brigade, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, and driving sales growth through effective menu planning and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the recruitment and induction of new team members
  • Lead, manage, and develop the kitchen team, ensuring their training is complete and up-to-date
  • Conduct kitchen audits to maintain operational standards
  • Be responsible for creating kitchen rotas and ensuring labour targets are met
  • Design, create, and cost new menu items for daily specials
  • Conduct weekly stock takes to ensure delivery of GP margins
  • Adopt a proactive strategy to boost sales and drive growth through effective engagement with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
