IT Network Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Clarkson PLC is seeking a highly skilled IT Network Operations Specialist to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional 3rd line support to our global infrastructure network and delivering various network projects within tight timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive monitoring of IT systems and implementing preventative measures to reduce system downtime.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.
  • Testing business applications, network, and server performance, providing performance statistics and reports, and developing strategies for maintaining and improving core infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with Project Management to deliver site deployments/moves.
  • Ensuring adherence to all IT security policies and assisting in enforcing and monitoring of IT security policies.
  • Participating in on-call rota and regular weekend network maintenance.
  • Traveling domestically and overseas as required.
  • Performing additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • CCNA level certification.
  • At least 3 years minimum experience within an IT support/administration role.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, and associated protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
  • High capacity to learn.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience working on multiple vendors, including Cisco & Meraki (Firewalls, AP's, and Switches).
  • Experience working within the Service Now framework.
  • Knowledge and application of ITIL processes.
  • Experience monitoring, investigating, and diagnosing issues.
