Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Manufacturing Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy fabrication workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled leader to join our dynamic team and drive growth in our industry.

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 15-20 skilled technicians, guiding them to achieve exceptional results in terms of efficiency and quality. You will work closely with subcontractors, various departments, and internal staff to coordinate projects and maintain clear communication. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will provide regular updates on workshop performance, progress, and challenges.

This role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar managerial role, with a strong background in fabrication. You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting purposes and possess an NVQ or equivalent qualification in a managerial discipline. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of daily workshop operations, ensuring smooth production schedules and efficient workflow.
  • Leadership and management of a team of skilled technicians, including guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Liaison with subcontractors, various departments, and internal staff to coordinate projects and maintain clear communication.

What We Offer:
A competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience. The role offers a private healthcare package covering both you and your immediate family (eligible after 6 months). Additionally, you will receive 23 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, with the opportunity to increase through long service. The company also provides an auto-enrolment into the Government Pension Scheme after 3 months.
