Senior Bid Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bid Manager to join our team at CV Library. As a Senior Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, ensuring timely, compliant, and commercially sound submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leading and managing the bid process, collaborating with the Business Development lead to develop clear win strategies and compelling themes for each bid.
  2. Managing bid teams, coordinating inputs from key stakeholders across functions, including legal, commercial, finance, and project delivery.
  3. Resolving complex technical, strategic, and business issues, working closely with legal and commercial teams to review bid aspects.
  4. Tracking and managing risks, ensuring all internal governance and KPIs are met.
  5. Overseeing client presentations, bid budgets, and continuous improvement through post-bid reviews.
  6. Supporting the development of Bid Managers, contributing to the organisation's bid strategy, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Substantial experience in a similar position, with a proven ability to meet business and organisational objectives.
  2. Good understanding of bid process management, requirements, and dynamics.
  3. Leadership skills with the ability to drive the delivery of complex bid submissions.
  4. Proven ability to coach and develop others.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  6. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
  7. Commercially aware of the construction industry.
  8. Assertive and resilient.
  9. Passion for quality, continuous improvement, excellence, and innovation.

What We Offer:

A salary package of £65,000 to £75,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus a company bonus scheme of up to 20% of salary, car allowance, Pension scheme, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) incremental with years of service, Employee Assistance Programme, Life Assurance, Optional Private Medical Insurance, Cycle Scheme, Study Support, and more.
