Job Overview

The Senior HR Adviser will work closely with the HR Employee Relations Manager, HR Business Partners, and the HR Services team to deliver proactive and commercial HR advice and guidance.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish trusted relationships across various business levels through collaboration and credibility-building
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Support HR Business Partners in delivering change projects, restructuring, M&A activities, etc.
  • Lead/participate in certain projects, including policy and process reviews, SMCR, DSARs, Whistleblowing, etc.
  • Provide support to the wider HR Senior Team as required
  • Offer HR advice and guidance to specific client groups
  • Support on complex employee relations issues, advise on other ER issues, including case management of performance improvement plans, sickness absence management, grievances, disciplinaries, etc.
  • Assist with leaves of absence (maternity/paternity leave) and changes to terms and conditions, including flexible working requests
  • Work with the Resourcing team for business recruitment needs and Learning & Development for business training needs
  • Support the Head of Reward and Reward team with operational reward matters, including annual pay review
  • Analyse HR Management Information and provide support to the HR Services team as required


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of HR best practice, employment law, and current thinking and developments in HR
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong analytical and system skills with attention to detail
