Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Unplanned Care team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the community, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide clinical visits to patients in their own homes, assessing, planning, managing, and evaluating their care needs.
- Support the clinical lead with daily leadership and decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with junior members of staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
- NMC current registration.
- RGN/RN professional qualifications.
- Ability to delegate work and demonstrate effective management and development of staff.
- Understanding of the role of the District Nursing service.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience of community healthcare (District Nursing).
- Understanding and/or experience of managing patients with long-term conditions.
- Knowledge of diabetes management, wound care, and leg ulcer management.
- Knowledge of SystmOne.
