Job Summary

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Publications Editor to join the Royal School of Artillery (RSA) team. As a key member of the Command and Tactics Wing, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining Royal Artillery publications and supporting documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide editorial development services for the production and maintenance of Royal Artillery publications and other supporting documents.
  • Support the production and updating of Royal Artillery Manuals across all disciplines.
  • Work closely with military personnel to collate and format publications that set the standard for Royal Artillery Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
  • Maintain records of current amendments and control Army Codes for Royal Artillery Publications.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A keen eye for detail and experience of working with the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Publisher.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a small team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with military personnel and other stakeholders.

Working Arrangements

This role is based at the Royal School of Artillery and requires a minimum of 60% attendance in the office. You will also be required to work independently and as part of a small team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.

Please note that this role does not offer relocation expenses. External recruits who join the MOD will be subject to a six-month probation period.
