Job Summary

Mural Arts Philadelphia is seeking a Community Murals Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for articulating goals, creating strategies, and building relationships with staff, artists, funders, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create contracts with artists and other contractors
  • Communicate responsively to coordinate ordering, distribution, and tracking of project supplies and equipment
  • Build and manage partnerships with Mural Arts' partners/stakeholders
  • Supervise and monitor project team responsibilities
  • Create and monitor project timelines
  • Facilitate community engagement approaches
  • Formally present designs and describe projects to community stakeholders
  • Coordinate and maintain project documentation
  • Manage and monitor project budget
  • Contribute to evaluation of and reporting to funders on project outcomes
Requirements
  • Four-year degree in arts administration, art education, or equivalent experience and knowledge
  • 3-5 years of experience working with communities of color
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management or equivalent experience managing budgets, people, and resources
  • Knowledge and background in public, contemporary art, and/or muralism preferred
  • Ability to work administratively, curatorially, interpersonally, and with a social justice mindset
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships in multiple communities and contexts
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, data management, web/internet utilization
