Key Responsibilities- Provide efficient administration and claims service to individual scheme members and intermediaries, ensuring accurate and timely processing of Defined Benefit Pension Scheme benefits.
- Draft and issue clear and concise communication to members and 3rd party intermediaries regarding Defined Benefit Pension scheme benefits, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Responsible for calculating individual Defined Benefits quotations and ensuring that documents/letters and statements are correct, and that Legal & General is protected from any additional payments or cost above those for which the Society is liable.
- Responsible for the checking of and authorising of the payment of Defined Benefits claims, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Act as technical expert for the team, providing guidance and support on sensitive or priority schemes, and interpreting and keeping up to date with current pensions legislation and HMRC practice.
- Set up and maintain scheme records, investigating anomalies and taking appropriate action for Bulk Purchase Annuities Defined benefit schemes.
- Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for all processes and that a full audit trail exists on the activities carried out to meet regulatory and internal compliance.
