About the Position:

As a Special Needs Assistant Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting students with SEN, collaborating with teaching staff to develop and implement tailored support plans, and providing academic and emotional support to promote independence and self-confidence.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with teachers to identify students' strengths and areas of need, developing personalized support plans to address these.
  2. Deliver targeted interventions and activities to support students' learning, social, and emotional development.
  3. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teaching staff to ensure seamless support and collaboration.
  4. Maintain accurate records of student progress, monitoring and reporting on their development.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN policies, procedures, and best practices, including Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
