Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Design Manager to join our team at Carrowhugh Group Limited in Central London. This is a site-based role, responsible for managing and coordinating the design elements and interfaces of all related aspects of a £12 million cut and carve project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the integrity of design quality is maintained while monitoring the delivery of the project with the aim of providing competitive solutions.
  • Liaise between the Client, Design Consultants, and project staff for the development of design packages and procurement strategies.
  • Manage the appointed Design Teams and design elements from specialist subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Carry out site visits and inspections as required to ensure compliance with contractor's proposals understanding of tender design basis for price and programme.
  • Prepare any necessary scope documents for surveys, investigations, and preconstruction regulatory compliance trackers.
  • Tender design planning and programming, including innovative design solutions to meet client's brief.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years commercial / mixed development construction experience, preferably in a Main Contractor entity.
  • Experience of building frame solutions, building finishing, service integration, and regulatory approvals.
  • Demonstrable awareness of the commercial factors applicable to tendering and value engineering.
  • Thorough working knowledge of computer and database applications such as Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project/Powerproject, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
