Business Development Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Engineer to lead our sales growth and market expansion efforts in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, and establishing long-term relationships with key clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and exceed profit targets.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, aiming to surpass annual revenue budgets.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients across various industries.
  • Set and manage both annual and monthly sales objectives aligned with the company's business goals.
  • Collaborate with different business units to ensure coordinated and maximized sales efforts.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, negotiations, and closing of sales deals.
  • Provide market insights and support product/service development teams to shape the future product roadmap.

New Business Development:

  • Identify and assess new markets for existing products and services.
  • Work closely with senior management to explore and develop new partnership opportunities.
  • Create business cases for innovative growth opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in sales or marketing.
  • Relevant technical qualifications, ideally within the heavy machinery sector.
  • A proven ability to build successful sales relationships at all levels within an organisation.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and commercial skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a positive, results-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and spend significant time with clients.
