Teaching Personnel: DT Teacher (Key Stage 3)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated DT teacher to join our team at an Alternative Provision School in Liverpool. The successful candidate will have experience working with students who have struggled in mainstream education and be skilled in handling challenging behaviour.

About Teaching Personnel

We provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Our students often have complex needs and find mainstream education challenging. We help them thrive academically and personally by offering tailored learning experiences and providing essential emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviour and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, ensuring they feel safe, secure, and motivated to learn.
  • Contribute to the overall development and growth of the school and its students.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience teaching DT, preferably at Key Stage 3 level.
  • Experience working with students who have struggled in mainstream education or have EHCPs.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle challenging behaviour.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Remuneration and Benefits:

The salary is approximately £41,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
