Job Title: Cybersecurity Data Analyst

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Junior Advisor, supporting the Digital Project at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data collection and analysis on cyber-relevant geopolitical events, defence economic trends and broader security issues.
  • Maintenance of accurate, relevant and accessible data for our core research focus.
  • Collaboration with technology teams to develop and improve proprietary tools.
  • Integration of diverse expertise from other IISS departments to enhance analysis quality.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in a relevant field or significant professional experience.
  • Proven experience in research and analysis, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using database management systems.
  • Exceptional English language skills, both spoken and written.
  • Possible experience in researching cyber, emerging technologies or defence economics and related security issues.

This role offers an estimated annual salary of £38,000-£50,000, depending on experience, with a one-year fixed-term contract.
