Transport Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Supervisor Nights to join our team at Evri. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Transport and Compliance Managers on the Night Shift and contributing to the transport operational running of the site.

The key responsibilities of this role include ensuring that all workers are fully compliant with legislative requirements, briefing and debriefing drivers to ensure that all instructions for their allocated runs are understood and actioned, and reviewing driver daily check sheets with the drivers to ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy.

The ideal candidate will have experience of collating reports on Driver information, including Digi tachographs, Health & Safety for site and for Drivers, and will be able to use Windows and MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Teams.

In return, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to study for their CPC qualification and receive continual development.

The Transport Supervisor Nights will be accountable for ensuring all new drivers are licenced checked, assessed and inducted prior to first shift, downloading information from digital tachographs at the start and end of each shift, and managing and monitoring vehicle maintenance and service planner as well as VOR to ensure vehicles are fit for the road.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for undertaking H&S tasks, such as yard walks and vehicle checks, and will be expected to work closely with the Transport and Compliance Managers to ensure the smooth operation of the Night Shift.
