Job Description

The Executive Director of Business Development is a critical role at Emmes Global, responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding relationships with existing clients. With a strong network of biotech, pharmaceutical, and government contacts, this individual will cultivate relationships with senior-level stakeholders to build long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business growth by meeting or exceeding annual sales goals for assigned territories and accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to build long-term partnerships with key clients.
  • Cultivate relationships with senior-level stakeholders to expand business opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates on sales activities, market trends, and competitive intelligence to senior management.
  • Identify and develop tailored strategies to secure individual opportunities and enhance client partnerships.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure high levels of satisfaction through a consultative approach.
  • Use CRM tools to document client interactions and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business field.
  • 10+ years of experience in providing CRO services to the biotech, pharma, and/or government market segments with direct experience in biotech, pharma, and/or government account management and interaction with mid-level and executive-level decision-makers.
  • 4-6 years of management experience, including hiring, managing, and supporting a diverse team.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to potential and current customer locations and corporate locations.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
