About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team at the Breedon Group plc. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer professional guidance and support to our teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Collaborate with our teams to design and implement effective health, safety, and wellbeing programs, including training and competency frameworks.
  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that our organization meets all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislative requirements.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Best Practices: Research and implement best practices in health, safety, and wellbeing to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of industry standards.
  • Conduct Audits and Inspections: Regularly conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Deliver Training: Organize and deliver training sessions to our employees and contractors on health, safety, and wellbeing topics.
  • Induction and Onboarding: Oversee the induction process for new employees and contractors, ensuring they receive comprehensive training on our health, safety, and wellbeing policies.
  • Interact with Stakeholders: Collaborate with our teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure effective communication and coordination on health, safety, and wellbeing matters.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) and be a member of IOSH.
  • Experience: Possess extensive experience in health, safety, and wellbeing advisory roles, with a proven track record of improving health, safety, and wellbeing performance.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, as well as excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
