About the Role

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and young people in Doncaster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic services for children, young people, and families who live in Doncaster and attend a Doncaster school or alternative education setting.
  • Lead on the assessment of health needs and support in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized packages of care.
  • Lead and facilitate each school to have an individual School Health Profile to identify the health needs of the school population and geographical area.
  • Provide training and support for children, young people, parents/carers, and school staff to meet individual health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to provide an innovative approach to delivering an enhanced public health service to the children and young people who attend schools and other educational settings.
