About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our client's tight-knit UK-based team. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and advising the executive team on legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate legal matters and implement FCA-driven policies that align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Negotiate and draft commercial agreements with technology partners and vendors.
  • Advise on legal risks associated with commercial transactions.
  • Anticipate potential legal challenges and proactively address them to protect the company's interests.

Requirements

  • UK Qualified lawyer with a strong background in financial services regulation (8-15 PQE).
  • Experience advising and/or working for broker-dealers with a solid understanding of UK securities laws.
  • Experience working with regulators or in a regulated business environment is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
