About the Role:
The successful candidate will support a number of projects to meet the requirements of the Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Management systems. This will involve conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing measures to minimize risks and improve health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the site teams and managers in maintaining and improving health, safety, and environmental standards
- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and implement measures to minimize risks
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Provide training and guidance to site teams on health, safety, and environmental matters
- Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role within a civil engineering or rail sector environment
- Proficient in Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- CSCS safety professional card and level 3 AET or PTTLS
