Are you a qualified accountant looking to advance your career in a leading firm of Chartered Accountants? We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant Manager to join our client's team in Ipswich.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients from diverse sectors, providing accounts and tax services. This includes regular client contact, dealing with ad hoc queries, and working closely with the Partners to drive business growth.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus a highly competitive benefits package including private medical care, hybrid/ flexible working, and a progression plan to Senior Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting/ Managing a client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact
  • Preparation of statutory accounts under FRS102
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Review of Corporate tax computations
  • Training and mentoring junior staff
  • Monitoring WIP
  • Attending client meetings
  • Working closely with the Partners
  • Business development activities

Requirements:

  • ACA/ ACCA Qualified (ideally)
  • A strong background in accountancy practice
  • Experienced in financial reporting under FRS102
  • Experience of managing a client portfolio (ideally)
  • Good communication skills
