Job Summary

MacGregor Black is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Train and mentor junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver strategic plans and objectives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor and maintain production output to meet site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within the engineering environment, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and factory-wide systems for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support capital engineering projects, ensuring effective planning and execution.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with peers and stakeholders to build credibility and trust.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in FMCG manufacturing, with a strong background in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Educated to HNC level or equivalent, with a preference for apprenticeship-trained candidates.
  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance (PPM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an advantage.

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent role, working a 3-shift pattern. The salary is circa £43,000 per annum.
