Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly organized and skilled individual to join our team as an Assistant Head Cook at University Hospital Ayr.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Head Cook, you will be responsible for managing a team of staff, ensuring effective communication and direction within the kitchen area.
You will be responsible for organizing staff duty rotas, including leave and in-house training, to provide a high-quality, safe, and cost-effective catering service to patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
Experience in large-scale catering, preferably within the NHS, is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
You should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
A City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or an SVQ/NVQ qualification is essential.
Working Hours:
36 hours per week, working 5 days over 7 days, with a degree of flexibility required to cover shifts between 0630 and 1900, including weekends.
