MMP Consultancy seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead a team of professionals in a North London-based National Contractor for Housing Asset Management / Maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control, revenue maximization, and client liaison.
The role involves working alongside the current quantity surveyor to ensure a seamless handover and providing expert guidance to the commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating quantities, costs, and time scales for material and labour, preparing tender and contract documents, and identifying commercial risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost control strategies to maximize revenue.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Estimate quantities, costs, and time scales for material and labour.
- Prepare tender and contract documents to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Identify and weigh up commercial risks to minimize potential losses.
- Procure supplies and services from vendors and contractors.
- Ensure accurate cash flow reporting and forecasting.
- Provide guidance and support to the commercial team, including cost clerks and commercial support staff.
Requirements:
- RICS, CIOB, or relevant degree.
- Asbestos Awareness UKATA or IATP certification.
