About the Role:

Murphy is looking for a skilled Business Administration Apprentice to join our team. As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your academic knowledge and gain experience in all aspects of customer care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • List and maintain a database of all key stakeholders and interested parties.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed about the scheme and especially any activities that may affect the public.
  • Support and attend client-led customer/stakeholder drop-in sessions.
  • Support the investigation of insurance claims on behalf of the client.
  • Manage and investigate complaints, both directly and in support of the client.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the project and communication teams.
  • Work with project teams on site to build relationships with communities impacted by our work and identify opportunities to support local initiatives in line with our values.
  • Support the client's communications manager to develop internal and external stakeholder plans, including communications calendars, key messages, identifying stakeholders, and developing methods of engagement.
  • Develop and deliver communications materials and content for review and agreement, as agreed with the project leadership and client.
  • Proactively gather information and update relevant comms channels – including digital – with relevant and up-to-date content, including news stories and case studies to be used for internal and external communication.
  • Work closely with site teams to support any project community outreach events management, including regular team events.
  • Plan and deliver local information/engagement events.
  • Develop and plan proactive community giving programs, e.g., volunteering, school engagement, and STEM activities, with any communications needs, including collating case studies and success stories.
  • Support emergency incidents on site as needed.
  • Minimise disruption during construction, allaying unwarranted fears about delays, and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Advise and support project staff on public liaison matters.

About the Apprenticeship:

  • This apprenticeship follows the Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship standard, which takes 18 months to complete.
  • As part of this apprenticeship, you will develop your skills and knowledge in business administration, customer care, and communication.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and gain hands-on experience in a real-world environment.
  • Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will have a recognized accreditation and a range of skills and knowledge that will prepare you for a successful career in business administration.
