TXM Recruit are supporting a leading business in the rail industry that is undergoing significant growth due to the mobilisation of overhaul projects. We are recruiting a Heavy Maintenance Manager who will oversee the successful delivery of heavy maintenance contracts.

This pivotal role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to join our client's team and contribute to their continued success. The Heavy Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing effective internal and external working relationships, recruiting and developing Project Managers, Engineers, and Planners, and providing regular management information and Key Performance Indicators.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in rail vehicle maintenance activities, depot operations, and project management. They will also possess a strong understanding of resource planning, work breakdown structures, tooling requirements, risk registers, Bill of Materials, and specifications.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual who can lead the mobilization of new projects, deliver excellent standards of housekeeping, and provide pro-active customer management. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Effective Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver key elements of heavy maintenance contracts.
  • Recruit and Develop Talent: Identify, recruit, and develop high-performing Project Managers, Engineers, and Planners to support projects.
  • Provide Management Information: Deliver regular management information and Key Performance Indicators to stakeholders.
  • Lead Project Mobilization: Lead the mobilization of new projects, including development of deliverables such as resource plans, work breakdown structures, tooling requirements, risk register, Bill of Material(s), Specification Review.
  • Maintain Excellent Standards: Deliver and maintain excellent standards of housekeeping.
  • Pro-Active Customer Management: Provide pro-active customer management, identifying and developing opportunities for maximizing revenues and cost savings.

In return for your skills and experience, our client offers a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package.
