Job Title: Senior Scout - Literary Expert
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scout to join our team at BookBrunch Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and managing our international publishing clients, working closely with the UK office director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a strong network of connections within UK adult trade publishing, tracking debut and established authors, and reporting to clients in a timely and discerning way.
- Working with the director to manage the team of staff, collaborating on matters of strategy and market awareness.
- Liaising with international clients daily, investigating queries, brainstorming ideas, and pitching books.
- Maintaining market awareness and reporting on UK market developments.
- Representing BookBrunch Limited at book fairs and industry events.
Requirements:
- At least five years of experience in the industry, with a strong background in scouting or rights experience.
- Excellent communication skills, a keen reader, and a clear and elegant writer.
- A highly organized individual with a sharp eye for detail and excellent team-working skills.
- Foreign languages are an advantage but not essential.
