Support a Better Tomorrow

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as volunteer mental health support workers in Wellingborough. As part of our Northamptonshire Acre initiative, you will be working closely with service users who require peer support to manage their mental health.

In this role, you will be an integral part of a supportive network that empowers individuals to overcome mental distress. Your personal experiences and empathy will enable you to provide one-to-one and group support, facilitating sessions in community settings such as residential homes or local cafes.

We offer flexible volunteering opportunities, allowing you to choose when and how often you can contribute. While we require at least 2 hours of commitment per week, the schedule is tailored to your availability, ensuring that you have ample time to focus on other aspects of your life.

A key aspect of this role is building strong relationships with fellow volunteers and service users. You will become part of a cohesive team that supports each other's well-being while making a profound impact on the lives of those you serve.

The estimated annual salary for this role is £22,500 - £25,000, reflecting the value placed on the essential contributions of our volunteer workforce. By participating in accredited training courses, you will enhance your skills, develop your confidence, and unlock new opportunities for professional growth.

In addition to the rewarding nature of this work, you will also benefit from improved mental health and a sense of fulfillment derived from knowing that you are helping to change someone's life.
