Mental Health Support Specialist

At Northamptonshire Acre, we are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health distress.
The successful candidate will be required to provide peer support to service users, using their own experiences to empathize and connect with those who are struggling. This may involve one-to-one sessions, group work, drop-in support, and assisting service users to access external services.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues to provide a supportive environment for both service users and peers alike. We offer comprehensive training courses, which are non-compulsory but accredited and beneficial for your CV.
In this flexible role, you will have the autonomy to commit to at least 2 hours of peer support per week, with the option to increase or decrease your involvement as needed. You will be responsible for developing strong relationships with service users, providing ongoing support, and helping them to achieve their goals.
We estimate that the annual salary for this role is £18,000 - £22,000, depending on experience. If you are passionate about making a positive impact and have the skills and qualities necessary to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.
