About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Operating Department Practitioner at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced theatre practitioner to work in our Children's Theatres Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate records. They will also be expected to contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

The role is based at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, where we cover a range of specialties including neurosurgery, scoliosis, cardiac, cardiac catheter, interventional radiology, oncology, general, urology, ear, nose and throat, orthopaedics, renal, plastics, burns, dental, maxillofacial, laparoscopic, and endoscopy.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • To provide high-quality patient care as part of the theatre team
  • To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • To maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Broad knowledge and experience of clinical nursing practice within a hospital environment
  • Interest in the clinical area
  • Experience of teaching
  • Experience of taking charge

We offer a competitive salary package, which includes a basic salary of £29,970 - £36,483 per annum, depending on experience.
