Job Title: Visual Impairment Rehabilitation Officer

Job Summary:
The post holder will work as part of the Telecare and Sensory Team, providing specialist rehabilitation support to residents with visual impairments. This includes conducting sensory needs assessments, providing equipment and minor adaptations, and delivering vision rehabilitation training.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct sensory needs assessments and reviews under the Care Act 2014.
• Provide equipment and minor adaptations to support residents with visual impairments.
• Deliver vision rehabilitation training to residents, including daily living tasks and mobility training.
• Offer advice to residents to optimise their safety and independence.
• Work closely with partner agencies to advocate for residents and access appropriate services.

Requirements:
The post holder will be responsible for keeping up-to-date with new developments and technologies to ensure the independence of residents with sensory impairments is maximised.
