We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Gleeson Recruitment Group in Leicester. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, playing a key role in preparing financial statements and year-end accounts, conducting balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and processes, owning budgeting and forecasting activities, providing analysis and insight to stakeholders, collaborating with other teams across finance to improve reporting, processes and financial accuracy, supporting the Finance Operations Manager in ad-hoc projects, including systems improvement and analyses, and developing strong working relationships with senior management to support timely and informed decision making.

About You:
  • AAC/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards and previous experience in financial accounting or financial operations, preferably within a large business.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data to provide insights and strong communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

The estimated salary for this position is up to £57,000 + generous benefits package, with exceptional progression opportunities on offer.
