About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires the incumbent to work all three shifts. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the activities on the unit, monitoring performance, completing performance evaluations, processing physician orders, maintaining accurate records, and developing plans of care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Conduct regular unit rounds to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Process physician orders and administer medications in accordance with established policies.
- Maintain accurate records of nursing observations and care provided.
- Develop and update plans of care for each resident in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses as a Registered Nurse. Experience in long-term care is an asset, and French speaking skills are also beneficial. COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for this position.
