Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Clinical Pharmacist in our Oncology & Haematology team, you will provide a highly specialized clinical pharmacy service to patients, including those in in-patient wards, day units, and out-patient clinics.

You will develop the clinical pharmacy service within specified tumour types, as determined by the Lead Pharmacist O&H, and provide support to the O&H CDG by undertaking activities appropriate to an independent non-medical prescriber.

You will also contribute to the provision of the chemotherapy preparation service, validate and final check chemotherapy prescriptions, and contribute to the investigation of medicines-related risk management incidents and audits.

Additionally, you will support the O&H CDG Research and development team with regard to the implementation and management of clinical trials and audits, and act as a Non-medical prescriber supporting the prescribing to O&H patients on the ward/day unit.

Requirements
  • Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Vocational degree in pharmacy + 1 year pre-registration training
  • Post graduate qualification in pharmacy practice or equivalent
  • Current Good Clinical Practice for R&D qualification
  • Member of Royal Pharmaceutical Society of GB
  • Member of BOPA
