About the Role

This Senior Clinical Psychologist position offers an exciting opportunity to work in Community Urgent Care Pathways, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care for individuals in crisis and those experiencing mental health needs in conjunction with physical health conditions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological support across various settings, including mental health liaison services and home treatment teams. This role requires excellent communication skills to facilitate smooth transitions between teams in acute and community settings.

  • Supervise qualified and training psychologists, as well as MDT professionals, in the mental health liaison service and home treatment team.
  • Work closely with the lead psychologist on service development to ensure that local needs and national objectives are met.
  • Offer training and consultation to MDT professionals in community teams (Liaison/HTT) and acute hospital staff, as required.
  • Contribute to Transitions services and Clinical Health Services, engaging with peers to support each other and the shared vision for the directorate.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and rapport-building abilities.
  • Maintain a holistic view of clients' needs and share this perspective with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Be mindful of language and process when working across settings to support psychological thinking and ethical practice.
