About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at LS Engineering Shropshire Ltd. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and controlling the design on multiple projects, creating cost-effective solutions, and designing complete systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design solutions for current and new products
  • Collaborate with the production manager and managing director to design purpose-built equipment
  • Conduct stress analysis, assembly tolerances, and testing to validate designs
  • Input in development activities and contribute to the growth of the company

Requirements:

  • Degree level or equivalent design engineering qualification
  • Proficient in CAD software (Solidworks)
  • Experience in sheet metal, conveyor, and general equipment knowledge
  • Experience in testing and experimenting with prototypes
  • Experience within the food industry
