Job Summary:

Talbots Law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Court of Protection Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Life Insurance Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and managing a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage and assist on a diverse range of Court of Protection cases, including applications for Deputy appointments, Statutory Wills, and other associated matters.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, Attorneys, and Lay Deputies to provide expert advice and guidance on Court of Protection matters.
  • Deputy Management: Assist with the management of Deputy client funds, including investment and benefit claims.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including SRA, Lexcel, and Law Society Quality scheme Standards.
  • Team Support: Provide support and guidance to the Court of Protection team, including training and development.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 3 years' experience as a Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in a similar role within a Court of Protection Department.
  • Expertise: Expert knowledge of Court of Protection, including applications, advising clients, Deputies, and Attorneys on investigations by the Office of the Public Guardian.
  • Skills: Excellent client care skills, administrative, planning, and organizational skills, with working knowledge of case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
